Sustainability  

RAN Cleaning Services aims to use sustainable and environmentally friendly products and procedures to limit the effects on the natural environment.

Water

RAN will ensure only the minimal amount of water is used when required with cleaning tasks. We will also ensure  all taps within garbage rooms have “preventative backflow devices” fitted and that hoses have gun nozzles to minimize water usage.

Energy

RAN will ensure only the minimal amount of power is used when required with cleaning tasks. All lights will be turned off when not required to minimize energy usage.

WasteManagement

RAN will work to minimize waste generation through education and encouragement of recycle programs for both its staff and clients. RAN will continuously review and recommend programs it feels would increase the use of recycling facilities. Appropriate signage to be placed in crucial areas to educate residents, staff members, all personnel. RAN will supply clear direction and signage as to where materials can be placed for recycling or disposal.

Chemicals

RAN Cleaning uses environmentally friendly biodegradable cleaning chemicals. We will dispose of chemicals and solutions down an approved drain or toilet. RAN uses minimal CFC cleaning products and promotes the use of manual pump action spray bottles.

PaperGoods

RAN promotes the use of non bleached toilet paper and hand towels on all sites and supplies the same where possible to its clients.

Staff Training – OH&S

Leading by example, the RAN management team will improve awareness and observe environmental standards, through its own actions. RAN staff will, upon induction and during on-going supervision, be trained to observe; safe disposal of chemicals, recycling systems, waste management and environmental hazards.

Subcontractors

Management will ensure all suppliers and subcontractors have read, understood and agree to comply with RAN Environmental Policy prior to commencing with any task on any project assigned by RAN.
